How many roles can I create in Makanify?

Unlimited. There is no limit on the number of custom roles. Each role has a name, description, parent role for permission inheritance, and feature-level access settings (No Access, Partial Access, Full Access per feature).

What is the difference between a role and a team in Makanify?

Roles control what a user can do (which features they can access and at what level). Teams control what data a user can see (which leads, customers, and reports are visible based on team hierarchy). The two systems work together to give each user exactly the access they need.

Can a team leader see data from other teams?

No by default. Team leaders see only their own team's data. One team leader cannot see another team leader's team data. Admins see all data. This mirrors the standard Indian real estate sales hierarchy.

How does permission inheritance work with parent roles?

When you set a parent role, the child role inherits the parent's base permissions. Any permissions you configure on the child role add to or override the parent's settings. This makes managing large role structures efficient: update the parent role and child roles inherit the change for unchanged permissions.

How are channel partners scoped in the permissions system?

Channel partners are given a CP role with scoped inventory visibility (only their allocated projects and units) and scoped lead visibility (only leads assigned to them). CPs cannot see other CPs' data, your in-house team's commissions, or your full pricing strategy. The admin configures allocation per CP.

Can I restrict which team members can export data?

Yes. Data export is a configurable permission at both the role level (role-by-role) and the system level (system-wide toggle in Settings, Lead Settings, Rules). A user needs both role permission and system permission to export data.

What is the Organogram?

The Organogram is an auto-generated, read-only visual of your organisation's reporting structure. Hierarchy View shows the reporting tree from admin down to each team member. Team View shows all teams with their members and leads. It updates automatically as you add users and configure teams; there is no manual drawing required.

Can I log all user activity for audit purposes?

Yes. The 'Log all user activity' toggle in Settings, Lead Settings, Rules enables a full activity audit log. Every CRM action by every user is timestamped and attributed. Useful for RERA audits, commission dispute resolution, and internal accountability.

Can I give a user read-only access to reports without letting them change leads?

Yes. Set the user's role with Full Access on Reports and No Access or Partial Access (view-only) on Leads. Common use case: a finance team member who needs to see sales and collection reports but should never touch the lead pipeline.

Is roles and permissions included in both pricing plans?

Yes. Unlimited custom roles, team hierarchy, parent role inheritance, organogram, and system-level rules are all included in both the Builder plan (₹1,000 per user per month) and the Broker and Channel Partner plan (₹500 per user per month).
